VASSELL, Arnold Leopold ...a.k.a. King Shine. April 8, 1942 – July 9, 2021 It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of our patriarch Arnold , affectionately known as King Shine and Papa Shine to many. He passed away in his sleep on July 9th and is survived by his wife of 58 + year, Dorothy, his children Phillip, Elaine, Lynden, Marcia, Dave, Chris, Clint; grandchildren, Jenelle, Kamilah, Anika, Zahra, DeShaun, Xavier, Gordon, Saidah, Dejha, Benjamin, Terrence, Donyelle, Kahli; great grandchildren Camoya, J'Dore, Nhylah, Zayden; and his siblings Ralphord and Ian. He was an entrepreneur, a deejay, a welder, and a great father who always veered toward the positive. He loved to dance and entertain and was always willing to help others. Our Shining Star.
