I have come late to this news. I haven't watched CityLine for a few years now which may explain it. I wasn't a client of hers but always loved her TV makeovers. She had such a beautiful spirit. I send my deepest condolences to the family especially her sons.

Condolences to the family for your loss. So young and too soon.
She used to come at my hair with that crazy set of 5 scissors and she laughed while I cringed always laughing saying she knew what she was doing.
She told me I was too young to not colour my hair...she called it artic white...then she would disappear into the back and come out rolling a tray of hair colours telling me she was going to give me highlights and low lights and something in between. Then out came the brushes and the tin foil and the stories about the wild girl time in Italy at the latest conference she attended punctuated by the sweetest laughter I've ever heard. She was a beautiful kind and open soul. I'd leave the salon with the latest products in hand feeling 30 years younger and flirting at the boys because I looked hot.
This is a huge loss for all who knew her. I pray for the family while they heal from this tragedy. Warm regards Cindy

I Just heard of this beautiful soul passing and was so sad to hear of this. I only met Grace once and I didn't even knew she had done all that she did in her life and profession, I thought she was just the owner of the salon. she was so kind and down to earth. I just kept thinking when I met her that she is so beautiful and when she spoke of all the travels and places she had been with her friends as she encouraged me to travel and see the world, I thought wow she is living her life to the fullest..... Rest in Peace beautiful!
My condolences to Mario, her sons and her family and friends, I pray you find peace and joy in remembering the memories you made with her.

Grace was my hairdresser and friend since the early nineties.
Her and her then husband, Mario, would put on these fun events at the salon to teach us how to style our hair.
I remember spending a great day with her and many of her friends enjoying The Beach Jazz Festival at Kew Beach Gardens.
I was invited to her home for dinner and she and Mario even included me in their Christmas celebrations one year, after I had split up from a relationship with my then, boyfriend and was feeling lonely.
I even joined her and Mario and her first son,, Dante camping in Sauble Beach along Lake Huron when they had a trailer.
Even though Grace had a high profile in the beauty industry, she was really down to earth and fun to be with.
Grace, you will always be in my heart and I will always remember how compassionate you were.
See you on the other side, my friend.
Love,
Carmen

It was such a shock when I heard that Grace had passed away. She had been my hair stylist for more than sixteen years. She was very friendly, easy going and most of all — she cared about her clients.
Grace’s bubbly personality and hearty laugh was infectious. Her welcoming disposition and unassuming nature was what I admired most about Grace.
Whatever stress I was experiencing melted away for two and half hours. I would leave Grace’s salon feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Grace’s knowledge of colour and style was astounding. I looked and felt marvellous. She was the best hairstylist I ever had.
I’m so blessed to have known her. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to Grace’s family, friends and co-workers at this sad time.

I too only knew Grace through her work on Cityline however even through the television, her beauty, passion and zest for life were evident. I was so shocked, as I am understanding many were, to hear about her battle with cancer and her passing. So shocked and so sad, that I am only a television viewer however I am writing to say to her family and many loved ones, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sorry for our collected loss. The tribute on Cityline was so heartfelt, so touching and so Grace.

I have been a Cityline devotee for 20 years at least ... today's terrible shocking news of Grace's passing is crushing ... i enjoyed her so much !
All the team's remembrances we wonderful & were a very touching tribute.
Grace was such an artist in all respects ... i loved her passion for life and was inspired by it . She had an amazing, flamboyant style in her attire ... exuding "Grace".
Her hairstyle creations were spot on and she was always concerned the lucky subject of the makeover could handle the style on her own!
I will miss her every Makeover Madness ... such a loss ... DAMN YOU cancer !!!
Sincerely,
Sandi

Dear Grace, I am so heavy hearted to hear you have passed away. There is no better example of eternal energy embodied than the spirit that animated your radiant beauty. I can always remember being introduced to you as “this is Ms Grace Carghill, the new Miss Black Ontario . A queen among us you surely were. You were definition of Role Model. A leader who set the example then humbly led your flock from behind, giving so many the confidence to surge ahead. You are proof incarnate that energy is Forever. Take a good long rest now, Lord knows you deserve it and we all know your next pass through the cosmos will be even more spectacular than this most recent and most extraordinarry iteration of beauty, love, strength and grace l❤️

Dearest Grace
We were born in same year and we’ve known each other since high school. You were my first choice to do my make-up on my wedding day and the make up looked fresh and lasted all day. Occasionally I will post the my wedding picture on FB and I always get compliments, that is testimony to your passion of making people look and feel beautiful. Now that you are in heaven you can continue your makeovers there. I miss your warmth, bubbly personality and your ability to uplift those you meet by your positive presence and genuine care.
Deepest condolences to the family and numerous friends who loved her.
Thank you to all who filmed Grace over the course of the years and posted the videos so that we can view and hear Grace. If you get a chance, please visit them.
