Obituary of Doran Lorenzo Guy

On January 16, 2020, Doran Lorenzo Guy triumphantly completed his journey of life at the Hawthorne Place Care Centre, in the presence of his dedicated wife, Una Guy, who he has journeyed with for 53 years. Known for his courage and commitment, Doran lived a life of unwavering convictions. He lived without compromise and loved in his own way. He will forever be remembered as a quiet observer, with a bountiful laugh. Doran’s life and legacy are celebrated by 7 children (Livingston, Jacqueline, Angela, Courtney, Annette, Andrew, and Elaine), 19 grandchildren (Felicia, Davian, Monique, Shuana, Leondre, Jordell, Natalie, Renee, Levar, Therand, Alin, Shakeja, and 7 grandchildren from Livingston, his first son), and 1 great grandchild (Jullian). Doran is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Etta, Eccle, Vera, Delphie, Roydell, Edwin, and Emily, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends, residing in Jamaica, Canada, and England. Our deepest gratitude to the medical and support staff at Hawthorne Place, whose kindness, respect, compassionate care, were nothing less than exemplary. We took great comfort in knowing that he was under your loving care, and we will forever be grateful.
