Sunday 15th March will be forever etched in my memory. It was the least I was expecting to hear. My wall caved in because at that time, I was dealing witj a very traumatic and heart wrenching situation. Birch, you were a black rose, dark and exotic You possessed a small stature, but a giant in humility, love for family, a generous and thougjtful young man. To have you for 43 years were a tremendous blessing. My regrets are that your life was senselessly and brashly taken. You will never arrive at the Argyle International Airport with you miracle daughter, you will never walk her down the aisle like you did your sister, you will not get to spoil your grandchildren, or look your son- inl-aw in the eye and say, "Take care of my daughter". You will not see her graduate, nonlknger take her to the dentist, the hairdresser, and you will no lonfer share in her many joys. It is so sad to hear you are no more. Each thought of you is pleasant and I would always speak your name. Reserve In Paradise (RIP)my son, my friend, my nephew, my confidante Birchfield Edwardo Alstyne Matthews You really carried a BEAM that was complimented with LOVE
