Herma Doreen Amos
January 16, 1944 - December 20, 2020
A special Homecoming ─ what a blessing. It is with great sorrow we share that Herma Doreen Amos passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, on the morning of December 20, 2020. She was loved and cherished by her eight children, Lorenzo Forrester, Leyroy McIntosh, Patricia Bailey-Brown, Fitzroy Rosewll, Annette Lawrence, Clive Walker, Julet Walker and Novlette Walker-Sharpe.
Herma Amos was deeply loved by her sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins. She was deeply loved by her church community and friends in Canada, Jamaica, and the USA.
For Herma, her family was everything. Her unconditional love for her family was in abundance. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and her physical presence will be greatly missed.
Herma was a beautiful soul on the outside and her internal beauty radiated in and through all that she touched. Her strength, perseverance, brilliance, quick sense of humour and care for her family were ever present until God called her home.
Herma enjoyed the peace and beauty of nature, which closely resembled the beauty of herself. She enjoyed walking, cooking, and travelling. Praise and worship to God was illuminated in her daily living for God. She always wanted peace in every situation. She was the voice of reason when chaos was happening around her friends and family.
Herma’s warm, generous and loving spirit will live on and through her family.
A Virtual Homegoing Funeral Service will be held for Herma on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 11:00 am. Please go to the Covenant Funeral Home's Facebook page, and press "Like" to watch the Live Stream beginning at 10am.
