Obituary of Lorna Rose Gilling
Please share a memory of Lorna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lorna Rose Gilling,
A very gentle loving soul, who was always smiling, taken from us way too soon on January 2, 2021
She leaves behind to mourn with heavy broken hearts her:
Sisters: Lucille(Jenny)
Merline(Val)
Patsy
Brothers: Lloyd(Barry)
Donald(Charley)
Roy
Many nieces and nephews in various parts of the US and China.
God daughter Kereen, and her son Nisja.
Also broken hearted are her many close friends, most for 40+ years.
Friendships formed while in nursing school in Jamaica, in the 1970's
Also mourning are her many coworkers and friends, who were drawn to her smile, since she migrated to Canada in 1988. Lorna worked at North Western hospital and Humber Regional Hospital up to the time of her retirement in 2014.
And so, for all of us who grieve and will always have the memory of her smile in her hearts, remember this saying from Seneca...a philosopher and writer
"As is a tale.... so is a life it's not how long it is... but how good it is. This is what matters"
And she knew she lived a good life and was always thankful to God for His many blessings.
