KING, Myrtle
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle King at the age of 73.
Myrtle is survived by John King, her loving husband of 48 years. She is the mother of Andre, Cecil, and Natalie. She's the sister of Lynette, Hollis, Lera, and Raymond, and a grandmother to Shalani, Lily, and Michael.
She grew up in Trinidad and Tobago and spent much of her working years in the insurance field at Guardian Life. Upon migrating to Canada, she started afresh as a Personal Support Worker and later as an Educational Assistant at Sunny View Public School.
She'll be remembered most for her smile, loving spirit, generosity, engaging stories, zest for life, and her care for both her own kids and grandkids, as well as the students of Sunny View Public School.
The celebration of life will be held at St. John's Dixie Cemetery, Crematorium and Visitation Centre, 737 Dundas Street East, Mississauga, ON on Tuesday June 29th, 2021. There will be a private viewing at 4pm followed by a service at 5pm. The service will be livestreamed at http://www.livememorialservices.com/Home/ServiceDetail/14451
In accordance with capacity restrictions due to Covid-19, attendance will be restricted to invited guests.
